Have you ever been in a situation where you had no choice but to do the one thing that broke your heart in pieces?  That is exactly how this woman must have felt the day she left this cute little chihuahua in the airport.

The three-month-old Chihuahua, called Chewy, was found in an airport in Las Vegas with this heartbreaking handwritten note from his owner.   The letter is pictured below:

“Hi! I’m Chewy! My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford me to get on the flight. She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has NO other option. My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He probably needs a vet. I love Chewy sooo much — please love and take care of him.”

Luckily, Chewy was found and taken to Conor and Millie’s dog rescue where he has been housed since he was found.  They also noted they have been flooded with requests to adopt the pup.

It is currently unknown where the woman who abandoned Chewy is, but it’s safe to say that it is for the best and they are both now hopefully living a better life.

The shelter posted this on their Facebook page.  In the hopes of getting the word out to Chewy’s mom.  She had done the brave thing and that he is safe and will have a great life.

As soon as Chewy is fully recovered from his injuries, shelter members said he will be available for adoption.

Please share this with friends to help get the word out to this brave woman.
