The only thing this sweet dog knew was fear of humans. Living on the porch of a vacant house, she wouldn’t let anyone approach her. She was most certainly hungry, and the people at WOOF Pet Rescue who were trying to rescue her hoped to care for her and give her a chance at happiness. And while they couldn’t be 100 percent sure, the rescuers believed her fearfulness meant she’d been abused at some point in the past.
Sweet Dog Blossoms After Rescue
Their best hope was to offer the beautiful dark brown dog food and water to gain her trust. It took a while, but her hunger won out over her fear, and just like that they rescued her. They named her Blossom.
Because that’s what she did after they bathed her. Blossom’s skin was in terrible condition, and her new-found caretakers realized she’d probably never had a bath in her life.

With all this excellent care, Blossom knew she was safe and wouldn’t have to be hungry anymore. It wasn’t long before she started acting like her true lovable self — rolling in the dirt, playing and jumping and going for walks. Because for the very first time in her life she knew someone cared about her.

With a little devotion, this sweet fearful dog who distrusted people turned into a loving dog with a marvelous life. In essence, her life now fits her name — Blossom flowered.
