Most of us realize that, as humans, we don’t deserve dogs. Dogs are pure of heart and love their humans unconditionally. Some of us recognize that, and we treat our dogs accordingly. Other people, like the evil groomer you are about to meet, see something weaker than we are — something that they can abuse and mistreat with abandon.
EVIL GROOMER
Before we tell you about the evil groomer that hurt her, we want you to meet TT.

TT is an eight-year-old German Shepherd who works as a service animal for her dad, a veteran with PTSD.
According to her dad, TT is the sweetest dog on the planet. Though, after her recent trauma, her heart was broken for a while.
WHAT HAPPENED?
So, here’s what happened:
TT’s dad took her to Groomingdales Pet Spa in Satellite Beach, Florida to get groomed.
Instead, a 37-year-old psychopath named James Cordell Doughty Suthan, somehow allowed to work around animals, had other plans.

In the video, which we included below, you can see that, first of all, TT seemed to be just standing there.
However, Suthan claims that she wouldn’t stand still.
So, with that as his excuse, he proceeded to grab TT’s tail with such venom that when she tried to turn away, her tail broke — then he hit her on the head with the shower nozzle.
NOT JUST BROKEN
TT’s tail was more than just broken.
Sadly, Suthan hurt TT so badly the doctors had to amputate her entire tail.

Fortunately, sescurity cameras were rolling and caught the whole thing.
Groomingdale’s fired Suthan and the police placed him under arrest on a felony animal cruelty charge.
ARRESTED
“The video is so graphic that I will not post it on Facebook, but trust me when I tell you that it is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to watch in my 39 years of Law Enforcement because of the horrific and cruel way the pet was treated,” wrote Sherrif Wayne Ivey of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The good news is that the evil groomer went to jail.
Sadly, the bad news is that, because of the charge, bail was super low, only $2,000, so Suthan is already walking around town again.
KEEPING YOUR DOG SAFE
As you can see from the police’s Facebook post, Groomingdales will not be held responsible for the man’s actions.
The groomers claim that there was no way they could have known what the evil groomer was capable of.

While we were not there, and we want to give the groomers the benefit of the doubt, Suthan had a record.
With a few dollars, Groomingdale’s could have done a background check and found out this man was already charged several times with domestic abuse.

Now, to make sure this doesn’t happen to you do the following:
- Get to know your groomer
- Research your groomer and make sure there are no complaints filed on major review sites like Yelp
- Make sure no one at your groomer has been arrested for domestic abuse (if you are abusive at home, you will be abusive at work)
