Abandon animals often have no hope. Rescuers found Frodo the foal in 2014, covered in lice, infected with worms, starved, and cold. There was almost no hope left for this creature until the RSPCA came to his rescue.
During the rescue, volunteers noticed how badly Frodo looked. People described him to look like a “dead carcass.”
Just look at him now!
They quickly took him to Penny Farm, located in the U.K. The rescuers gave it their all to nurse Frodo back to health until he was finally stable. The little yearling was on his way to a full recovery with all the love and attention he was receiving.
Now the foal is living his best life. The beautiful foal received the award of Equifest Rescue Champion.
A worker from Penny Farm commented,
“FRODO’S TRANSFORMATION IS TRULY AMAZING. IT IS A TRUE TESTAMENT TO THE HARD WORK AND DEDICATION OF THE TEAM WHO CARED FOR HIM, AND WE COULDN’T BE PROUDER.”
Today you would never know that Frodo was that close to death. Thanks to all his rescuers Frodo is like any other healthy horse.
