Man Adopts Senior Dog, On A Walk He Looks Into His Eyes Realizes His Tears Are Flowing

Most older pets like cats and dogs tend to relax in their old age and do things that please their owners.

Older pets show countless amounts of affection, but these are the pets that typically are abandoned.

These older pets, unlike the young ones, struggle greatly when left. People want young dogs when adopting. It becomes difficult to find these pets a home. They often get passed by.

PETA collaborated with singer Yusuf Islan, also known as Cat Stevens, to help these pets get the care they need. Yusuf wrote a song that elaborates on the bond between humans and dogs called “I Love My Dog.”

In honor of the songs fiftieth anniversary, PETA used the song in a video. The video shows how great it is to adopt pets, even senior pets!

This video makes brings even the toughest person to tears. It shows a person adopting a senior dog from a shelter. The clear bond between the two is obvious from the beginning.

The man brings the dog home from the shelter. The dog roots through the garbage, but the owner doesn’t care. He simply laughs and cleans it up.

The two have a great bond. The take lots of walks, learn new tricks and sleep side by side.

As you see the man and his dog bonding Yusuf sings:

“I love my dog as much as I love you. But you may fade, my dog will always come through.”

Towards the end of the video, the owner feels there is something wrong with his dog. He rushes him to the vet.

He learns it is time to say goodbye to his furry friend. The loss of his friend crushes him, but the time he had with him was awesome.

He receives a flyer in the mail about another adoption event. He rushes there to adopt a new dog in need.
