Two Rescue Dogs Go For Treatment–Man Steals Them During The Night

The Humane Society of North Texas opened their doors one day to find two of their dogs missing. The dogs were there when they left so somehow they went missing in the middle of the night. Realizing on camera footage the two dogs didn’t escape the premises, they reported the incident to police. Now there was nothing to do but wait and help the police search for the pups.

Around 10:30 pm, a man reportedly broke into the rehab facility in Fort Worth. He snatched a 1-year-old Rottweiler and a 2-year-old American bulldog that were to receive medical treatment according to the center’s Facebook page.

On Thursday, they found Sherman, the bulldog. He sat tied to a pole in downtown Fort Worth. The Rottweiler, Buster, is still missing and is in need of desperate help.

The center put out an alert for people to look for Buster. Buster needs medical attention. Without medical attention soon, his health will quickly fail and possibly die.

Anyone who is cruel enough to steal two dogs who need medical attention should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. We are glad though at least one of the dogs in back in the proper care of medical personnel at the Humane Society. The Humane Society then shared a Facebook photo showing them picking up Sherman in the back of a police car.

UPDATE: No, our staff is not under arrest. Sherman was found tied to a pole in Fort Worth. Buster is still missing….

To our Texas friends: Anyone with information is asked to contact the Humane Society at [email protected] or the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-329-4222. We hope Buster will be found soon and given the medical treatment he needs. We also hope the man is found and sentenced for endangering the lives of these poor pups who could not fend for themselves. Good luck and prayers to you Buster.
