Not all heroes wear capes. In fact, most real-life heroes look nothing like the stereotype. People who want to save animals are not always from PETA either. This group of bikers is on a mission to save animals from abusive homes.
The group, Rescue Ink, is doing anything and everything to stop animal cruelty. Once they established themselves out of Long Island, NY, they became very popular. Bodybuilders, bikers, military members, veterans, and ex-convicts are also people involved with this non-profit. Although they are not the usual group you would find fighting for animal rights, they are still heroes in our book!
Anthony Rossano (a.k.a. Big Ant) says:
“Let’s just say an official goes to an abuser’s house, he pulls up in a cop car and, immediately the abuser knows the cop’s limitations, he has certain boundaries.”
Anthony’s point is that abusers know how to deal with the police. But when his gang rolls up to the abuser’s house, they often freak out and have no clue what to do. He explains,
“But when we pull up, they don’t know what we’re going to do, they don’t know what we’re capable of doing. So it helps out big time.”
The member continues, “Some people like to think of us as superheroes. The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”

After many years of doing this, they have come across some pretty evil people. The organization has run into animal serial killers, puppy mill breeders, and dog fighters. The video below shows the heroes in action. Please take time to see what these awesome people do on the daily!
