Despite repeatedly saying that she did not want any additional pets, Queen Elizabeth has adopted a new dog: a nine-year-old corgi named Whisper. The Queen loves animals especially Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
Whisper’s previous owner was Bill Fenwich served as gamekeeper for Sandringham. He and his late wife, Nancy, had helped raise the Queen’s brood of dogs. The Queen bred Whisper and gave him to Nancy and Bill as a gift. She was very fond of them. During his illness, the Queen would visit with Bill and Whisper quickly growing attached to to the corgi. Inevitably, Queen Elizabeth “fell in love” with the pup after taking him for walks after Bill passed away.

In fact, the Queen is known for her love of the short-legged breed. But who wouldn’t love these little cuties with their little tails and booties wagging?
Queen Elizabeth has actually owned more than 30 corgis over the course of her reign. Wow!
Years ago she decided to stop breeding her dogs because she was concerned that if something happened to her they would be orphaned.
In addition to Whisper, the queen has three dogs: another corgi named Willow and two dorgis (a Dachshund Corgi mix), Vulcan and Candy. The Royal Dogs are happy and in very good hands.
