Have you ever watched a complete make over of someone? Maybe they lose weight, get in shape, have dental work done, change their hairstyle and maybe even buy a new wardrobe. This usually takes place over time, not overnight for people.
One cat in Salisbury, Massachusetts has had this kind of transformation almost over night thanks to the compassionate people at the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society.
The Rescue Society explains that the Lowell TNR (Trap Neuter Return) Coalition was conducting a trap and release spay and neuter campaign when they found an orange long haired cat in bad shape.
“He originally was found outside, severely matted and very hungry. He was caught as part of a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program. Then was discovered to be friendly and in need of serious dental surgery,”
Frisbee, was given much needed dental care and all of his mats cut off.
Frisbee was put up for adoption. Now he has found his forever family. Frisbee’s new favorite pastimes include lounging in a favorite chair and laying by the window. His hair has grown back and he looks like a healthy and completely new kitty in his new home.
What a difference a caring person can make. Frisbee’s fate would not be good considering the unhealthy state that he was in. These rescue groups depend on your help to make these kinds of changes in innocent animals.
