This Couple Flying To NY Didn't Realize Their Cat Snuck Into Their Luggage

A cat belonging to Nick and Voirrey Coole of Isle of Man, the United Kingdom decided to hitch a ride on their airplane luggage. Though the efforts of the cat were almost succesfful she was discovered by airport security.

The couple was scheduled to celebrate their 40th birthday celebrations in New York. They thought they had packed sufficiently but they packed more than they realized. As airport security went through their belongings, security officials found a cat in their luggage. It was the couple’s cat named Candy.

Their Cat Walked Out Of Their Luggage Like It Was No Big Deal.

Candy casually walked out of the bag, as it was opened to be examined. “Our hand luggage didn’t have much in so we could bring shopping home. But Candy, our cat, found a way in and off to the airport we all went. Airport security were all very puzzled and repeatedly asked if the bag was ours after it had been through the scanner,” Nick said.

The airport staff were kindhearted and laughed along with the couple. Nick later wrote on Facebook, “You know that feeling when you get ushered into a side room at airport security because you’ve got a cat in your hand luggage? Candy decided to sneak into our handbag, thanks Barry and Lorna for picking her up so we can head off on our holiday. Fair play to airport security for helping to get her home so we could catch our flight.”

Friends of the Cooles were able to come and pick Candy up so that Nick and Voirrey could be on their way. After making sure that their cat was in good hands, they were off to America as planned.

This will surely be a trip that Nick and Voirrey won’t forget. Thankfully, they found the unlikely hitchhiker before they got too far into their trip.
