There are a few things that, no matter where I am or what I am doing, will always bring tears of joy and happiness to my eyes. Military homecomings, whether it is a human or an animal, always elicits that response from me and I bet that I am not alone. I am pleased to introduce you to Buddy and Hannah Foraker.
MOMMY’S HOME
Hannah Foraker enlisted in the Army when she was 21 years old. It broke her heart when she had to leave her best friends, a horse named Derby and her wonderful Goldern Retriever, Buddy, behind. She had to go though; Uncle Sam needed her in Oklahoma for basic training.

After an interminable three months, however, she got to come home for Christmas break. She couldn’t wait to see her best friend Buddy, and Buddy was equally as excited to see her mommy, too.
You see, Hannah has been Buddy’s best friend for her entire life.
BUDDY
Hannah got Buddy when she was just a tiny little puppy. Now, Buddy is quite old, has arthritis, and she’s mostly deaf as well.

None of that, though, is going to stop her from greeting her long-lost mommy in the most adorable way ever. Just as Hannah greets Buddy, you can hear her start to cry and then she simply lays right down in Hannah’s lap. Watch the adorable video below.
On a personal note to Hannah in case she sees this: Thank you. I was a Marine a long time ago. It can be scary, especially as a female, to join that man’s world. Leaving everything you know behind, especially your best friends, is one of the hardest things I have ever done.
Here at Animals Being Cute, we appreciate everyone that serves in the military, both man, and beast. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do every day.
