7 week old puppy was dropped off at the local shelter, this picture had everyone asking about him

A puppy at only 7 weeks of age should be with her dog mom still and safely in the care of a human. But little Layla was only 7 weeks old, all alone and in great danger. She was found running through traffic. Thankfully, she was picked up by Beaumont Animal Care Texas. Her adorable smile that has gone viral appears to be one of great gratitude.

Layla’s grin became famous when Rachel Barron, a tech at the shelter started talking in a sweet voice to the tiny puppy.

As of this writing, the video of Layla has been viewed over 330,000 times. As you may have guessed, it did not take long for people to contact the shelter about adopting the smiling little star. One family, Nicole Toney and her husband who lived in the vicinity of the shelter came in to see Layla. They had watched the video of Layla online and wanted to see the pup for themselves.

Layla Finds A Loving Home

Nicole and her husband already had three rescue dogs and two cats. But that didn’t stop them from adopting Layla. They felt that she would be a wonderful addition to their family. And they were right. “She was shy at first, but you could tell she was so sweet and excited,” Toney said.

In case you were wondering if Layla still has that famous smile, the answer is yes, she still smiles! “She’s really settling in so well,” Toney said. “She’ll cuddle right next to my husband’s face and fall asleep. She’s such a sweetheart and we noticed she even smiles when she’s asleep.”

This was such a sweet story, we hope you will share with all your friends.
