Woman on her way to McDonald’s notices a dog outside, what she sees when she looks closer is disturbing

Just when you think you may have heard the worst of the animal abuse cases, another case arises. While this story may be hard to read, it’s important to find who did this heinous crime.

A dog killer has been on the loose in Tucson, Arizona. Shawna Moore, a local resident found a dead body of a dog who had been tortured, killed and discarded. Moore posted the photos online to help people to find this killer.  “I was on my way to the McDonald’s and stopped when I saw a dog laying in a recliner set out for donation,” Moore said. “I thought it was a stuffed dog, a toy.” She added, “I got closer and noticed its mouth was gagged shut with a sock and there was blood soaked on the sock.”

A crowd gathered around the dead body of the dog. Someone called 911 and then the call was transferred to animal control. The animal control showed up and found that the dog had a microchip. The authorities said that they would investigate the owner, but she said that no one interviewed any of the witnesses. Moore didn’t feel that the authorities were doing enough.  “No contact info was collected,” she said. “They just put the dog in a black trash bag. So I decided to call KGUN9.”

Moore Hopes To Put Pressure On Authorities to Investigate This Crime

Moore hopes to put enough pressure on the authorities so that they will investigate and find the killer. “Its mouth had a sock wrapped around it, and it was drenched in blood. It was lifeless,” Moore said. “I just – I can’t get this image out of my mind.”

An investigation has been opened by Pina Animal Care Center. “We’re actively working with TPD to bring justice to this poor dog,” said Jose Ocano, PACC’s director of operations. This cruelty case is devastating to our community, and we won’t rest until justice is served,” said Jose Ocano, PACC’s director of operations.

Moore is concerned that this could happen to her dogs. “I was just so scared,” she explained. “Just imagining that something like this could happen to (my three dogs).”
